On February 1st, Donald Bryant, and 74-year-old male, was admitted to Sinclair Memorial Hospital for a right pneumonectomy of the middle lobe due to bronchial alveolar cell carcinoma. The past medical history in the dictated H&P indicates he has a diagnosis of COPD and a heart murmur, but no prior surgeries or accidents. His social history indicates a 90-pack-year smoking history with a current use of smoking nearly 2 packs of cigarettes per day. The physical examination documents temperature of 98.6, pulse of 88, respirations of 20, blood pressure of 102/50. The hospital course is significant for complete pneumonectomy of the right middle lobe via open thoracotomy by Dr. Shaw under general anesthesia. He tolerated this well, with an excellent postoperative recovery. His nutritional status and intake were not good postoperatively, but his intake continued to increase at the time of discharge. At the time of discharge he was able to walk around the hallway and outside without difficulty. Patient discharged home after a five day stay. icd codes?
