At 1928 you are dispatched to an “unconscious person.” After police on scene radio that the scene is secure and you are clear to enter, you arrive at a residence where an officer points you to a bathroom, and says they have just removed a butter knife that was on the floor beside the patient. A bystander relates that this is a “half-way house” for troubled teenagers. The manager of the house states that the patient was at an adult supervised party earlier, and seemed to be in a good mood when she was picked up. However, when they arrived back at the house and the patient was informed that her normal evening chores had been taken care of for her, she became upset and confrontational. The house manager didn’t think much about this at the time because of the patient’s “history of anger control problems.” Later when the house manager went to look for the patient, they found her unresponsive in the bathroom with “all the blood around her.” You arrive at the patient’s side at 1936 to find a 17-year old female lying supine on the bathroom floor with a small amount of dried blood on her face
