Dr. O kept Austin in the hospital for three days after his surgery and placed him on intravenous antibiotics. Once he was discharged, he was ordered to follow up with Dr. O once a week for six weeks. During his last follow-up visit, Austin was scheduled to have his cast removed, and during the examination, his ankle was slightly inflamed and had minimal drainage from the incision site, but it looked to be healing.
