Unfortunately, two weeks later Barb passed away in ICU. Mrs. Cross attended the funeral with the entire family. Her son came from BC with his family, but they are not allowed to visit Mrs. Cross due to the high risk of COVID transmission. Mrs. Cross was placed in isolation again, and a COVID test was sent. Four days later, the COVID test came back negative, but Mrs. Cross prefers to stay in her apartment.
Grace noticed that Mrs. Cross lost weight. She became more dependent, and her depression got worse. She is not coping well with the situation. She cries a lot.
Last time she told Grace the following “Why did it happen to Barb and didn’t happen to me? Why the God took my daughter? I can’t stand this pain. I feel so lonely without her. God made a mistake. She was such a good person. I don’t want to live anymore.”
What can be done to make Mrs. Cross feel better? Show your creativity with your ideas.
