The client’s main complaint on admission to the ED was abdominal pain. What appeared to be blood was found in her peritoneal cavity via ultrasound. The client was taken to the OR for an exploratory laparotomy. The source of the bleeding was found and repaired. The client has multiple areas of resolving ecchymosis on her abdomen and on her back. She has an indwelling urinary catheter in place. The client has a 20 g PIV in her left AC with sodium chloride 0.9% running at 50 cc/hour. Current Vital signs are a temperature of 36.9° C (98.4* F), pulse 78/min, respirations 18/min, blood pressure 163/54
