Scenario

You are a healthcare worker in a large hospital and have been on the job for 5 years.  You really like your job, and you hope to move up the ladder over the next few years when you complete your current degree. The hospital you work for employs hundreds of workers, but only a few select people can access the medication storage room. You have access to the room because of your responsibility of dispensing medication to patients on your floor. 

A friend of yours who also works at the hospital asks you if you can get them a few painkillers to get them through their shift. You know that they have been prescribed pain medication in the past for a car accident that resulted in back problems. Your friend has only been on the job for 60 days and is still in their probationary period; therefore, they cannot take time off with pay.  Their family relies on them to pay rent and food. All the other members of their family are currently out of work.

You know that you are not supposed to give your co-worker any medication, but they are in a pinch and will not be able to finish their shift without it. You have been friends for over 10 years, and you understand their family situation. Your friend does not seem to be a person that would abuse medication.
