Hello I really need help on this part of the presentation. My section is : RECOMMENDED PRACTICE CHANGES; STRATEGIES FOR IMPLEMENTATION: In the assignment you’re supposed to address based on the guidelines -Recommends practice change with measurable outcomes and addresses feasibility issues. -Suggestions for implementation. The assignment consists of doing based of the topic and PICOT . for my part you’re basically going to write what you would recommend to improve patient satisfaction based of the topic/picot . Resources have to be within the 5 years. If you can please do 5-6 bullet points and add speaker notes to elaborate more on the bullet point. I’ll attach an example below so you can have an idea is not the same topic, but might help how todo the assignment. My topic is: The impact of nurse-patient communication on patient satisfaction and outcomes. PICOT made by the group: in hospitalized patients, how do enhanced nurse/patient communication strategies, compared to standard communication practices, affect patient satisfaction scores and health outcomes within a 12-month period. ————————————————————————- Example of assignment how is suppose to look topic was “Protocols regarding alarm fatigue” ” A nurse who works in critical care for 10 years, can education on alarm management versus no education reduce alarm fatigue in 6 months” What the student came up with is RECOMMENDED PRACTICE CHANGES; STRATEGIES FOR IMPLEMENTATION: Staff Education: Alarm fatigue among ICU nurses can be minimized by giving them the necessary knowledge through trainings or in-services on how to respond to these alarms effectively and by helping them understand the importance of each alert and which ones are considered to be crucial (Dee et al., 2023). Nurse-patient ratio: Having too many patients assigned to one nurse might make it challenging to provide appropriate patient care and communication, which is one of the factors that can result in increased alarm fatigue. Which may result in patient injury, missed or disregarded alarms, and delayed reactions. Appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios can improve response times and patient outcomes (Katarzyna Lewandowska et al., 2023). Alarm Standardization: This is vital in reducing alarm fatigue because it provides consistency and clarity and establishes priorities for alarm management. Clarity offers precise guidance on which alerts are false and critical, while consistency helps minimize uncertainty and enables staff members to react promptly (Woo and Bacon, 2020). Patient engagement: Setting expectations and teaching patients and their families about the alarms will help involve them in managing the alarms. Families and patients can participate actively in their care by learning how to manage alarms properly.
