Gillian summons the nurse to the room stating they are “not feeling well.” Upon entering the room, the nurse notes Gillian is cold, clammy, and pale to the touch. They are groaning loudly, gripping their abdomen in pain, agitated, and alert, oriented to self and place only. Gillian begins to vomit copious amounts of greenish/yellow fluid and the nurse assesses their abdomen as rigid, distended, and tender to palpation. Vital signs: 140 beats per minute (regular) 28 breaths per minute (regular) 90/48 mmHg 85% on room air (RA) “10” out of 0-10 scale
