Your client has orders for NG replacement fluid. You are ordered to replace on your 8 hour shift, 50 ml NS(normal saline)per IV drip for every 100 ml of NG drainage obtained on the previous shift. In report you are told that there was 496 ml drainage on the previous shift. The current primary NS IV is to run at 30 ml/ hour continuously.
