I chose HCAHPS scores because the hospital I currently work at relies heavily on this subject to improve and help patients. Hospital A is the hospital I currently work at, while Hospital B is where I worked at before. Both hospitals are a level 1 trauma center and as such are both acute care hospitals with different skills of accreditation such as stroke and chest pain. According to the Patient Survey Rating, both have 2 out of 5 stars. As for their surveys, these are few of the questions that were presented to the patients during their stay “Patients who reported that their nurses “Always” communicated well,” Hospital A has 68% satisfaction while Hospital B is 71%. “Patients who reported that their doctors “Always” communicated well.” Hospital A has 74% while Hospital B is 72%. “Patients who reported that they “Always” received help as soon as they wanted.” Hospital A has 49% while Hospital B is 54%. “Patients who reported YES, they would definitely recommend the hospital.” Hospital A has 59% while Hospital B is 64%.
