What are the cm for S YMPTOMATIC FIBROID UTERUS SYMPTOMS OF PELVIC PRESSURE AND MENORRHAGIA. PROCEDURES: TOTAL ABDOMINAL HYSTERECTOMY AND BILATERAL SALPINGECTOMY. POSTOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS: 39-YEAR-OLD GII, P 2-0-0-2 WITH SYMPTOMATIC FIBROID UTERUS SYMPTOMS OF PELVIC PRESSURE AND MENORRHAGIA. SURGEON: Bernie Kramer M.D. ANESTHESIA: GENERAL, ENDOTRACHEAL. ESTIMATED BLOOD LOSS: 700 CC. IV FLUIDS: 4 LITERS URINE OUTPUT: 140 CC OF CLEAR URINE AT THE END OF THE PROCEDURE. SPECIMENS: ALL SPECIMENS WERE SENT TO PATHOLOGY. COMPLICATIONS: NONE. FINDINGS: An exam under anesthesia revealed a 12-week size uterus. (This is how the physician measures the uterus, does not mean the patient is pregnant) Operative findings revealed a small uterus with a 10 x 12 cm cervical fibroid. Normal tubes and ovaries bilaterally. PROCEDURE: The risks, benefits, indications and alternatives of the procedure were reviewed with the patient and informed consent was obtained. She was taken to the operating room with an IV running. The patient was placed in the supine position, given general anesthesia, prepped and draped in the normal sterile fashion and a Foley catheter was placed. A vertical skin incision was made from approximately 2 cm above the pubic symphysis and entered sharply to the rectus fascia. The fascia was
