The legal responsibilities that a medical office professional have toward the patient, employer and state are the connection between the doctor and the patient when arranging any type of a visit. These visit includes lab work, office visit as well as hospital admissions. We have a duty to be respectful, honest and carry ourselves in a professional manner toward our employer and patients. We must protect the patients privacy and confidentiality. Permission must be received from patients before any type of treatment is given unto them.
