WHO uses several measures of health such as life expectancy, demographics, neonatal mortality, under five mortality, hiv, TB. malerial, Hep B, and total population.(WHO, 2022) Out of 167 countries the United States ranks 18th for the best healthcare. (Best Healthcare in the World 2023, 2023) Denmark was listed as number 1. Denmark offers its residents public healthcare including mental health and long term care options.Â
Healthcare access makes a big difference countries with less access have a higher mortality rate. Sadly most of those countries are undeveloped. Some countries treat healthcare as a human right and have Government provided healthcare, the US does not.Â
The US healthcare system is not only more easily accessible, in most cases, but has better equipment available to for treatment. Whereas poorer countries may not have the latest technology needed to save and maintain life.Â
