Marie is 71 years old. She lives at home alone. She has been a widow for the past 5 years, since her husband passed away from cancer. Marie has a great fear of cancer and dying from it. She does everything possible to keep herself healthy and active. She does not want to depend on others for her care. She plans to always stay independent. (Learning Objectives 3 and 4.)
